Welcome to the FarHorizon website
FarHorizon is one of six projects funded by the European Commission to promote "blue sky" research on emerging issues affecting European science and technology.

The project is piloting the use of foresight to align research with longer-term policy needs in Europe. It uses a success scenario approach to engage key decision-makers in building a vision for their area of activity and identifying the key steps to get there.

On the following pages we will provide you some background information, talk about our approach, and present our research results.

Please feel free to use our research output – referring to our website as the source – and to comment on our findings.

We are looking forward to talking to you.
